Signage Design for the New Gasteig HP8 Munich
Holistic Orientation System and Brand Communication
For the new Gasteig in Munich, Designliga developed a holistic signage system for clear orientation at the new location. The orientation system combines precise information design with consistent brand communication and translates the identity of the Gasteig into a functional spatial language. This creates intuitive visitor guidance that clearly brings together architecture, usage, and brand.
Modular signage for complex cultural sites
The signage for the Gasteig HP8 is based on a modular wayfinding system that can be flexibly adapted to different requirements. The distinctive three-dimensional frame element functions as a stele, wall, or ceiling element and ensures clear orientation from various perspectives. The high black-and-white contrast guarantees excellent readability throughout the building.
Orientation system as part of brand communication
The orientation system combines functional visitor guidance with consistent brand communication. The three-dimensional design element shapes the spatial identity of the location and has been consistently transferred into the two-dimensional graphic. This creates a unified appearance across architecture, information design, and communication.
Flexible wayfinding system for adaptable uses
As a temporary cultural location, the Gasteig HP8 posed special requirements for signage. The modular system allows for easy adjustments and expansions without losing design consistency. It provides reliable orientation for visitors while offering the necessary flexibility for changing uses and future developments.
