Corporate Design, Print- and Webdesign for Piano Summer
From logo design to campaign
Making Art and Culture Visible – Corporate Design for a European Festival
Piano Summer is the cultural festival par excellence in Southern Europe - a project that has attracted more than 18,000 visitors since its inception in 2014. What was once a local festival in Serbia is now gradually becoming a predominantly European cultural network, which has so far managed to host countries like Germany, Serbia, Italy, and South Africa.
This unusual cultural project, far from the well-trodden highways of Europe, brings the audience first-class experiences, refreshed from up close. News from the art scene is conveyed through classical music from a different perspective.
Typography for Piano Summer – classical music in contemporary design
Designliga uses Suisse Neue by Swiss Typefaces as the main font, as we believe that the mix of serif and sans-serif in this single font aligns with Piano Summer's goal of conveying classical music in a contemporary atmosphere. To keep the design fresh yet neutral, we introduce a new condensed font for each festival edition, based on a graphic design element of the respective year.
Color and Design Concept for Piano Summer 2022 – Structure, Country Messages, and Visual Navigation
In the 2022 edition, the idea of using bold colors was incorporated into the design. This not only serves to distinguish the printed materials of each country but also to create a structure for navigation on the Piano Summer website. (see www.pianosummer.eu) The selected collages are elements with which we emphasize the message of each country.
Typography and Gradients for Piano Summer 2021 – Regional Reference and Award
In the 2021 edition, we use various typographic cuts and gradients, taken from the coats of arms of selected Bavarian cities, as the main concept. The typographic element of the first event, which took place in Munich, was represented by the light version of the condensed font, which prevailed through the last event in Landshut with the bold version of the same font.
The project is mentioned at the Print Awards in the category ‘The Best Promotional Print Designs’.
