Nuance Living – Corporate Design & Brand Strategy for an Interior Design Studio
An independent brand between craftsmanship, consulting, and living atmosphere
Nuance Living was founded by Leonore and Korbinian Fleig. Both come from a family of carpenters and run the Fleig Workshops, a family business in its fourth generation. However, with Nuance Living, the aim was not to create another carpentry presence, but an independent interior design studio for individual living concepts.
The brand development therefore had a precise task: to keep the craftsmanship origin tangible without making it the sole theme. Nuance Living should appeal to people seeking personal furnishing solutions who do not find themselves in classic furniture stores or in distant-appearing interior design offerings.
The Challenge: High Quality, Yet Approachable
Positioning for an Interior Design Studio
The brand navigates between two worlds: craftsmanship assurance and contemporary interior design consulting. It was precisely in this space that its potential lay.
Nuance Living should provide guidance, build trust, and at the same time make a design stance visible. High quality, yet accessible. Personal, but not arbitrary. Clearly positioned, but not distant.
The focus is not on selling individual pieces of furniture, but on accompanying the journey to a home that fits the people who live in it.
Furnishing as a Personal Process
Brand Strategy and Brand Architecture
At the center of the brand strategy was the question of how a brand can guide people in designing their homes. The answer was not in individual products, but in understanding furnishing as a personal decision-making and design process.
Nuance Living accompanies customers from the first idea to the finished furnishing. Consultation, planning, and implementation interlock in this process. The brand stands for individual living concepts, timeless design, high-quality materials, and functional solutions that are conceived from everyday life.
This resulted in a brand architecture that connects origin and future: The proximity to craftsmanship remains perceptible as a competence, while Nuance Living presents itself as an independent furnishing studio with its own attitude, language, and visual identity.
A brand that works independently
Nuance Living functions as an independent brand because it does not hide its origins and does not elevate them decoratively. It uses them as a foundation.
From the experience of a family business comes an offering that makes furnishing more personal, clear, and accessible. The brand development combines strategy, corporate identity, and communication into a consistent appearance. Thus, from craftsmanship, interior design, and personal consultation, a brand with its own voice emerges: calm, approachable, high-quality, and precise.
For Nuance Living, branding is not understood as a surface, but as a strategic tool. It makes visible what the brand stands for: spaces that are not only designed but also fit the people who live in them.
