Corporate Design for the Kompetenzteam Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft München

Development of a clear visual identity for the one-stop shop of the cultural and creative industries

For the Kompetenzteam Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft München, we developed a distinctive corporate design that visually reinforces the institution’s role as a central contact point for the cultural and creative industries.

The project included the development of a logo as well as a consistent typographic and colour system that clearly communicates its positioning within the city’s economic development framework. In addition, various print materials were designed and a comprehensive style guide was created to structure and ensure the long-term, consistent application of the new brand identity across all communication channels.

The cultural and creative industries consist of 11 submarkets, at the core of which the competence team serves as a central point of contact.

Das Kompetenzteam Kultur- und Kreativwirtschaft der Landeshauptstadt München berät, vernetzt und unterstützt Kultur- und Kreativschaffende und fördert das öffentliche Bewusstsein für den wirtschaftlichen Eigenwert und für die Leistungsfähigkeit der Branche.

Aufgabe

Entwicklung eines Erscheinungsbildes in enger Relation zum Markenauftritt der Landeshauptstadt München

Lösung

Die Institution bewegt sich zwischen elf unterschiedlichen Märkten – von Architektur über darstellende und bildende Kunst bis hin zu Werbewirtschaft – und agiert zwischen der Struktur einer Behörde und dem Freiraum der Schaffenden. Dieses Spannungsfeld dient als Grundlage für das Gestaltungskonzept.

Die Wortmarke funktioniert als stabiles Gerüst. Der Verzicht auf die Konjunktion „und“ schafft einen grafischen Freiraum für den situativen Einsatz der Bildmarke, dem schwarzen Punkt. Farbe und Schrift entsprechen dem Erscheinungsbild der Stadt München. Elf Kreise mit spezifischen Mustern sind das zentrale Gestaltungselement. Sie symbolisieren jeweils einen der Teilmärkte und können einzeln aber auch in dynamischen, lebendigen Kompositionen eingesetzt werden.
