Farbgeschichten – Multisensory Exhibition Design for Autostadt Wolfsburg
Feel, smell, see color – the exhibition Color Stories at Autostadt Wolfsburg turns paint and color into a multisensory experience.
Located in the Zeithaus – the space dedicated to cars and their stories – this new satellite exhibition invites visitors to discover automotive paints and finishes in a unique way. In a dedicated area, guests immerse themselves in the world of color, engaging with hues and paint technologies not just visually, but through all senses.
Designliga Munich creates emotional brand spaces and tells the fascinating stories behind color, surface, and design.
Color becomes a stage – Exhibits at the heart of the design
In the exhibition Color Stories, visitors encounter color not merely as a visual phenomenon, but as an integral part of material, function, and context. Through selected exhibits and their individual narratives, a direct and tangible access to color, paint, and surface is created.
The exhibition design – both spatial and graphic – places the content at the center. It creates a clear, understated stage on which the exhibits can unfold their effect. The exhibition space enhances the experience – precisely composed, without distraction, with a focus on the essential.
Multimedia Exhibition Design in Farbgeschichten – Graphics, Print & App
The exhibition is accompanied by a layered graphic concept – directly at the exhibits, through printed media, and digitally via an app.
Visitors move freely through the space and decide for themselves how deep they want to dive in: brief information is available right at the object, while more in-depth content can be accessed via smartphone or a printed guide.
Graphics act as a mediator – clear, restrained, and content-focused. The design supports understanding without dictating how the exhibition should be experienced.
Digital exhibits on iPads – Interactive design in the exhibition Farbgeschichten
The exhibition Color Stories integrates modern digital exhibits on iPads to offer visitors an interactive and in-depth experience.
Using these tablets, guests can explore the topics of color, paint, and material in greater depth – through interactive media, videos, and rich on-site content.
The digital design complements traditional print media and the app-based exhibition experience, creating a varied and multimedia-rich visitor journey.
