Exhibition Design for Autostadt Wolfsburg – Lenker von Morgen
Interactive Exhibition Design on the History of the Bicycle
For the Autostadt in Wolfsburg, Designliga developed the exhibition design for “Lenker von Morgen”. The staging takes visitors on an interactive journey through the history of the bicycle and combines spatial design, exhibition scenography, and temporary experience formats into a holistic exhibition experience. The spatial staging creates a clear dramaturgy that makes historical developments, technological innovations, and future perspectives of mobility tangible.
Content Concept and Spatial Implementation
The focus was on the question of how mobility can be made tangible as a cultural, technological, and social theme. Through a close integration of content, space, graphics, and interaction, an immersive exhibition experience was created.
Project Brief
Project: Interactive Exhibition „Drivers of Tomorrow“
Location: Autostadt GmbH, Wolfsburg
Services: Concept, Scenography, Exhibition Design
The Revolution on Two Wheels – Experience Design Meets Mobility History.
The exhibition concept is based on storytelling and communication design and guides visitors through the thematic world on four levels: physically tangible exhibits of historical and modern bicycles, informative texts on development, technical details for experts, as well as emotional dioramas with image, sound, and scent. This open and flexible design allows for an individual exhibition experience and makes the concept realization an immersive highlight.
Visual Clarity as a Guiding Principle of Exhibition Design
The exhibition design follows the principle of visual clarity. Reduced forms, clear structures, and a restrained interior architecture direct attention to the exhibits and create space for storytelling, scenography, and individual discoveries.
Interactive Exhibition Design for a Holistic Visitor Experience
For "Drivers of Tomorrow," we at Designliga combined interior architecture, communication design, and interactive elements to make mobility and technology tangible. Clear spatial guidance and intuitive design invite visitors to actively explore and engage with the content.
Virtual Reality as Part of Interactive Exhibition Design
Virtual reality is an important part of interactive exhibition design and allows visitors to directly experience the bicycle of the future. This way, they can virtually immerse themselves in new mobility concepts and playfully try out innovative technologies – very close to the theme.
Graphic design as an integral part of the spatial exhibition concept.
Graphic design as an integral part of the spatial exhibition concept – it creates orientation, conveys content, and seamlessly connects visual communication with spatial design.
