Corporate & Communication Design David B. Walker/Damir Stabek

David B. Walker, founder of Die Registratur, and Damir Stabek have been tenants of the Kongress Bar since 2010. The Kongress Bar is located in the Kongresshalle, on the heritage-listed grounds of the former Munich Trade Fair. It was renovated in the 1950s style of the Kongresshalle by its owner, the Edith Haberland Wagner Foundation.

Drawing inspiration from the building, the conceptual and aesthetic guiding idea was based on the German Wirtschaftswunder (economic miracle). The logo and communication materials were shaped by the understated elegance and design language of the 1950s. The result was a cohesive visual identity in harmony with the architecture and the staging of a dandy-esque bar culture.

David B. Walker, Gründer der Registratur und Damir Stabek sind seit 2010 Pächter der Kongress Bar. Die Kongress Bar befindet sich in der Kongresshalle, auf dem denkmalgeschützten Gelände der alten Messe München. Von ihrem Eigentümer, der Edith-Haberland-Wagner-Stiftung, wurde sie im 50er-Jahre-Stil der Kongresshalle ausgebaut.

Lösung

Bezugnehmend auf das Gebäude basierte die inhaltliche und formalästhetische Leitidee auf dem deutschen Wirtschaftswunder. Das Logo und die Kommunikationsmittel wurden geprägt durch die schlichte Eleganz und die Formgebung der 50er Jahre. Es entstand ein mit dem Gebäude korrespondierender Gesamtauftritt und die Inszenierung einer dandyhaften Barkultur.
