Development of a visual identity for a defining institution of the Munich sub- and night culture
For Die Registratur we developed a distinctive corporate design, which makes the special position of the club within the international electronic and subculture scene visible. The starting point of the design was the motive of archiving, which derives from the name and was conceptually translated into the visual appearance. Inspired by historical data carriers such as punch cards and formal elements of form systems, an independent design system was created, which consistently unfolds across logo, poster campaigns and various print media. The result is a clear, recognizable visual identity, which translates the programmatic diversity and curatorial ambition of Die Registratur into a distinctive design language.
„The Registry“ and the associated concept of archiving became the guiding idea of the entire corporate design. The punch cards and forms previously used as data carriers inspired the entire look & feel from the logo to stationery, flyer and poster grids, to the web concept and screen design
